Why The BS Maverick?
I’ll get straight to the point since it’s near impossible to compete with your TikTok watching, “I could be watching Netflix” thinking, audiobook “reading”, video game playing, short attention span having brain.
My son's name is Maverick (clever are we). I’ve spent an absurd amount of time trying to figure out the best way to teach my boy what I believe is the most important skill to live a successful life now and in the unknown, AI-driven, Terminator-esc future.
Become a master of the BS! (Or at least better than your friends)
So, I created this site to curate all the things I’ve learned about the BS and present it in a way that’s fun and easy to digest.
Better Here than in"Real" life
Now, I’m not interested in convincing anyone that life is a BS-filled bucket of programmed delusions—There are far smarter peeps out there who shatter dreams better than I ever could. I’m interested in shining a spotlight on the BS lurking in the shadows before it delivers a Fresh Prince oscar slap reality check!
I know the pain of realizing and coming to terms with the fact that our lives are surrounded and shaped by the BS: our beliefs, worldview, wants, likes, relationships, family, friends - the whole shebang. Or worse the never-ending beat-down life delivers if you never realize it.
So, I create content to help identify and confront the BS in a fun "Let’s all laugh at the dummy who thinks he has a shot with the hot chick" style, while not-so-subtly pointing out that this dummy might just be you.
I figure better here than being blindsided by it the usual way like; learning Santa Claus is really Granny, finding your dad's hidden stash of magazines, “investing” in crypto, getting Tinder swindled, or receiving a seemingly out-of-nowhere "I've had enough of your f’ing bullshit!" kind of meltdown.
So, sit back, relax, have fun, laugh, cry, criticize, empathize, and enjoy…
“BS, BS WHAT’CHA GONNA DO? WHAT’CHA GONNA DO WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU?"
